Medellin prepares biggest fireworks show ever

Medellin will set its skies on fire on Monday evening as it holds the biggest fireworks show in the history of Colombia.

The event is the start of the city’s celebration of Colombia’s 200th anniversary celebrated on Tuesday.

The organization is expecting tens of thousands to witness the spectacle held at the river between San Juan and Avenida 33.

The fireworks won’t begin until 7PM, but the city authorities invited citizens to arrive early in order to find the best possible spot.
