Medellin police arrests 17-y/o female murder suspect for 2nd time

Medellin police said Sunday they have arrested a 17-year-old female suspect of at least five homicides. The same girl was arrested a week and a half before, but had apparently escaped.

According to a press release, “La Perris” was arrested Saturday evening in Itagui, a town bordering Medellin in the south, where she and fellow-gang members were involved in a shooting with a rival gang.

The 17-year old had joined her old gang after escaping from a youth detention center, the police said.

According to earlier media reports, La Perris is suspected of having killed at least five people and was allegedly training other minors how to carry out contract kills.
