30 years old rapist

Medellin police said Tuesday they have arrested a serial rapist, suspected of having raped more than 30 women.

According to the police, the 30-year old suspect was arrested Monday in the downtown area of the city.

The man allegedly raped more than 30 women after intimidating them by claiming he was a member of the “Convivir,” an illegal vigilante group that runs the underworld in Medellin’s downtown area.

After accusing his victims of robbery, the alleged rapist took the girls to a motel where they were raped.

According to Medellin police commander Yesid Vasquez, it is probable that the alleged serial rapist is guilty of more cases of sexual assault.

“We know that there are many more people, especially victimized women, who did not want to file a complaint out of fear. We invite you to file a complaint, ” the official told press.
