Freedom, an electronic music festival featuring a full lineup of local and international DJs, will take place March 16 at Plaza Mayor in Medellin.
The festival, also known as the “international electronic music festival of Medellin” in a techno festival featuring a diverse lineup of 33 musicians, 15 of which are international DJs. The 15 hour festival will kick off on March 16 at 12PM and will jam until the wee hours when it will finally wraps around 4AM. The festival is held annually and last year some 5,000 party people were in attendance.
Located at Plaza Mayor in Medellin, the venue will have three main stages as well as a dining and sitting area and a hydration station. Tickets for the event can be purchased for COP 60,000 (USD $33.00). Tickets can be purchased online here or at any GANA store.

Mathew Dear was born in Texas and inspired by the Detroit, Michigan electronic scene, he has been a producer, DJ and electronic pop artist since 1999 in addition to starting the record label Ghostly International.
Technasia (aka Chales Slegling) is a musician and DJ raised in Paris, but met former Technasia member in Hong Kong in the ’90s and the pair decided to bring electronic dance music to South East Asia in 1996 with the launch of Technasia.
Alex Under is from Madrid, Spain and is one of the most sought after DJs in Spain. He also has his own label, CMYK.
Cari Lekebusch is a DJ from Stockholm, Sweden, and founder of record label, H. Productions with sounds ranging from techno to hip–hop.
Alessio Mereu is an artist from Italy, who grew up a piano player until realizing his affinity for electronic music production. His sounds have been released on various big name labels.
