Medellin gets new beats at 3rd International Music Festival

The theme of Medellin’s Third International Music Festival is percussion instruments, hosting drummers from Australia, Scotland, France, Ukraine, and some top Colombian musicians from October 19-30.

The festival will feature all types of percussion music, including ancient and exotic instruments from around the world.

There will be eight free workshops and 11 concerts, including four outdoor shows.

Colombian conductor Alejandro Posada is the festival’s artistic director.
