The legendary American hard rock band Kiss is set to return to Colombia after six years for a concert in the capital Bogota in April.

Although the announcement on the official website speaks of “Columbia” and “Bogata,” few can doubt that Kiss is really coming back to Colombia. As part of the 40th anniversary tour, the glam rock band will perform in Simon Bolivar’s park in the country’s capital coming April 10.

Kiss will travel to Bogota as part of a larger Latin American tour set to begin in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on April 16. Little details have been revealed thus far.

The first time the band known for its members’ face paint and stage outfits came to Colombia was in 2009. Also held in Bolivar’s park in Bogota, the concert was a massive success, as Kiss performed all major hits from their illustrious four decades-long career.

Formed by Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley in New York City in 1973, the band rose to prominence in the mid to late 1970s with their elaborate live performances, which featured fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, shooting rockets, levitating drum kits and pyrotechnics. Kiss is one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time.

Forty years, 24 albums released and more than a 100 million sold later, the group has yet to slow down, with multiple tours on the agenda and last album recorded as recently as 2012.

The ticket sale for April’s concert will start on December 12. A pool of tickets will be made available for pre-sale, but only for the group’s most fanatic fans and members of the official fan club. The prices are still unknown. In 2009, the fees varied from $95,000 to $190,000 Colombian peso.

It will also be possible to purchase special VIP packages with a “Meet & Greet” option, including a visit backstage and a chat with members of the band. The prices of such a treat are expected to be considerably higher.
