Juanes wins AMEE Award for Best Sound Recordings Artist

Colombian singing superstar Juanes will be attending the Media and Entertainment Excellence Awards on Monday night to pick up his prize for Best Sound Recordings Artist.

The glitzy awards ceremony, organized by the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA), will be held at the Plaza Hotel in New York and, as well as the Colombian crooner, the event will be attended by other stars of American media such as ABC News anchor Robin Roberts, soul singer Sam Moore and the cast of kids’ show Sesame Street.

Medellin-born Juanes was chosen as the category winner for his chart success in the united States with top-selling albums “Un Dia Normal” and “Mi Sangre.” He was also recognized for his role in charity projects the My Blood Foundation (for which he is patron) and Peace Without Borders.
