José Ruperto ‘The Cat’ García Quiroga confesses thousand murders

The nearly thousand murders took place between April and December 1995 in the town of Turbo, Antioquia. ‘The Cat’ also confessed 40 crimes committed in the areas of Currulao, Coldesa and El tres. He also admitted having murdered an anti-narcotics agent, who, according to the Cat’s, was guilty of extorting a local merchant.’The Cat’ is also suspected of the murder of six locals in the town Caucana Timba.José Ruperto García Quiroga is in jail awaiting trial for conspiracy to commit crime, aggravated homocide and forced displacement.
