Injured Colombian cyclist Mauricio Soler honored

Mauricio Soler was named official representative of Colombia’s 2012 Movistar cycling team, in support of his continued recovery from a near fatal accident during a race in Switzerland.

The 15-man team was presented before an array of sporting personalities in Bogota Thursday.

The Colombian cycling team, which is ranked second in the American International Cycling Union, will take part in all major competitions on the American continent.

During the 2011 season the Colombia registered 24 victories in international cycling competitions.
