IADB grants Colombia $844 million loan

The Inter-American Development Bank on Saturday agreed to lend Colombia $844 million to invest in several government programs.

According to Colombian Finance Minister Oscar Ivan Zuluaga, the money was approved to be spent on programs to improve mobility and competition in the country and help to government programs to help the millions of displaced people in Colombia.

Zuluaga was granted the loan in a meeting with IADB president Luis Alberto Moreno Mejia in Cancun, Mexico, where the bank is holding a summit.
