Man steals woman’s braid in Medellin

A thief threatened a woman cut and stole a woman’s hair in downtown Medellin, reported Noticias Caracol Wednesday.

The woman who wanted to remain nameless said “At 7.30 in the morning more or less a man approached me with a knife, he told me to keep quiet and he took my braid.”

“It’s really bad because for a woman it is like a violation, hair is something you take a lot of care of,” said the woman who has been left with a bob hair style.

Human hair extensions in Medellin, Colombia’s second largest city sell for between $99 and $207.

The Medellin Police told Colombia Reports that they was unable to provides details of the attack and that incidents of hair theft are reported directly to the Prosecutor General’s Office.

The Prosecutor General’s Office told Colombia Reports that it has received no reports of hair theft.
