German company to supply Bogota’s new airport terminal

A German conglomerate has won the contract to provide installations in the new terminal of Bogota’s international airport El Dorado, magazine Airport World reported Wednesday.

ThyssenKrupp Elevator technology conglomerate, which has over 600 companies worldwide, will supply 39 elevators, 20 escalators, 16 moving walks and 33 passenger boarding bridges for a new terminal, due to be completed in 2014.

Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport is Colombia’s largest airport and one of the busiest in Latin America. The new terminal will be built to increase the airport’s capacity.
