Gale leaves 25 injured in north Bogota

A sudden strong wind in the north of Bogota injured at least 25 persons and caused serious material damage, local authorities said Saturday.

The winds ripped the roofs of some houses. Cars were damaged by falling trees and the neighborhood Parcellacion el Jadrin was left without electricity.

Several locals told Caracol Radio say that one of the neighbor’s calfs was blown away.

Eight of the injured were taken to hospital, while medics treated the remaining 17 injured on the spot.
