US trade deal brings cut-price sex toys to Colombia

The future is bright for sex shops in Colombia, thanks to the recently ratified U.S. – Colombia free trade agreement (FTA) which is set to make products of kink and erotica available to all budgets.

The free trade agreement will be unwittingly converting sex fantasies into reality, by bringing an array of new products at accessible prices to Colombia.

Sex toys in Colombia have traditionally been very expensive, with prices for Colombians far higher than for their northern neighbors.

For those Colombians who want to go further than their usual colored condoms or flavored lubricants, it can become extremely expensive to explore their sexual creativity.

Products such as blow-up love dolls are quite popular, but at a retail price of around $500 they tend to break the budget. Meanwhile, in the land of the free you can pick up an inflatable friend for around $20 bucks.

According to sex shop owners, fetishism is still popular and kinky costumes, handcuffs, whips, and masks sell well in Colombia. But with the more luxurious items retailing for over $200, a raunchy night in could mean a month or more of savings.

Colombians will soon get more bang for their buck, in all senses of the word, with products available in the United States making their way to sex shops around the country.
