Former Senate President again investigated for paramilitary ties

Colombia’s Supreme Court decided to reopen the investigation into the alleged paramilitary ties of former Senate president Luis Humberto Gomez Gallo.

The country’s Prosecutor General’s Office had previously closed the ‘parapolitics’ investigation due to lack of evidence, whch led to a protest of the Inspector General’s Office that asked to reverse the decision.
