Explosives launched at hardware store in Bogota

A hardware store in the Bogota neighborhood of Bosa was attacked on Wednesday by unknown assailants who launched explosives at the building, reported Colombian media.

The attack took place in the early hours of Wednesday morning in the capital city’s northern district. Nobody was hurt in the explosion but the majority of the store’s stock was destroyed.

As a precaution, the shop’s surrounding buildings were evacuated while fires were extinguished.

Although the motive behind the attack is unknown, authorities say that it may have been a case of intimidation or revenge against the shop’s owner.

An investigation will begin to find the perpetrators of the attack.
