Explosions in eastern, central Colombia kill 1

Explosions in central Colombia and the eastern city of Cali left one dead and two gravely wounded. Motives are unknown.

An explosion in the principal plaza of a municipality near Manizales, the capital of the department of Caldas, killed the person carrying the bomb, reported Caracol Radio. No other injuries were reported.

Authorities are working to identify the remains. Motive and responsibility remain unclear, said the mayor.

In a commercial sector of Cali, another bomb left two seriously wounded, according to a separate report by the radio station.

Initial versions say two men on a motorcycle threw a bomb that damaged a House of Appointments, or brothel, and a video rental.
