More than a week after having changing term, Colombia’s congress is still waiting on former House Representatives to return 16 cars, 19 cell phones and one semi-automatic machine gun, reported W Radio on Tuesday.

According to the radio station, the House’s service director, Carlos Arcila, announced he would be taking legal measures against 24 former members of the house who in total owe 16 cars, 19 cell phones and one machine gun to the legislative branch.
The biggest sinner has been the Conservative Party. Of this party, seven of its 38 representatives owe either a phone or a car to Congress.
In order to force the former representatives to return the goods, Arcila released the list of congressmen who have failed to returned their phones, cars or guns.
The Congress’ announcement came a week after former Senate President Roy Barreras had publicly complained that the previous occupant of his office, former U Party Senator Claudia Wilches (U Party), had stripped her Senate office bare, taking even the sink.

Following what observers called the most corrupt congressional elections in recent history, the new Congress was inaugurated on July 20, Colombia’s independence day.
