Eurocine film festival is coming to Medellin

The 18th annual Eurocine film festival, showcasing some of Europe’s finest cinema, will make its way to Medellin Friday and runs until May 11.

The festival kicked off in Bogota April 19 before touring to Medellin, Cali and other locations throughout Colombia.

The festival will showcase the cinema of Finland, this year’s guest of honor, and offers up a retrospective of Scandinavian filmmaker Aki Kaurismäki.

There will be over 60 screenings at Medellin’s Colombo Americano cinema. Films will be screened at 2:15PM, 4:15PM, 6:30PM and 8:30PM every day and cost COP 8,000 ($4).
