ELN attack kills two soldiers

At least two soldiers were killed and five more wounded in an alleged attack of ELN guerrillas in North Colombia on Monday, the army announced.

“The incident occurred in Patio Bonito, Bolivar department, when members of the ELN Magdalena Media Block attacked a patrol group”, a Second Army Division commander told local media.

“The guerrillas are in the mountains of San Lucas and are persecuted by the Army”, he added.

The wounded were transferred to Bucaramanga, the capital of the neighboring Santander department.
