Election of prosecutor general postponed

The Supreme Court on Tuesday evening postponed the election of a new prosecutor general Wednesday in order to discuss the current candidates, WRadio reports.

The Supreme Court failed to elect a prosecutor general from the shortlist made by former Presdient Alvaro Uribe.

President Juan Manuel Santos has submitted a new list of candidates which the Supreme Court will discuss on Wednesday.

Former Defense Minister Juan Carlos Esguerra, former prosecutor Carlos Gustavo Arrieta and former Senator Viviane Morales are currently shortlisted.
