DJs to come from around the world for Bogota Electronica

Some of the best international and Colombian DJs will appear at the capital’s first Bogota Electronica music festival.

Among the international talent at next week’s event will be Sweden’s Ake Parmerud, Norwegian Espen Sommer Eide, and Concha Jerez, Pedro Lopez and Jose Iges from Spain.

The Colombian contingent will consist of Ricardo Arias, Juan Reyes, Daniel Prieto, Carlos Gomez and Rodrigo Restrepo.

Ake Parmerud will open the event Thursday April 19. The composer, musician and multimedia artist has won two Swedish Grammy awards and has been a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music since 1998.

  • Experimental Colombia, Thursday May 3.
  • Espen Sommer Eide in “Phonophani,” Thurday May 10.

 

The event will take place between April 19 to May 10 at the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Studio Theatre. All concerts begin at 7PM and cost 40,000COP ($23).
