Disgruntled passengers protest at Bogota airport

A minor protest took place at Bogota’s El Dorado airport after 80 Spanish travelers arrived at the airport while their luggage was nowhere to be found, local media reported on Thursday.

The missing luggage totaled around 50 bags, much to the chagrin of the 80 passengers on the international charter flight, reported Caracol Radio.

Authorities reportedly do not yet know where the bags went missing as the flight originally left from Madrid before stopping in Ecuador and eventually arriving at the El Dorado airport.

Police in Bogota are reviewing security camera footage to determine whether or not the mishap was a mistake or theft.

El Dorado has been the recipient of much scrutiny lately — most notably when 10 employees were arrested for utilizing the airport as a drug-trafficking route.
