Dinosaurs shake up Medellin

36 species of dinosaur, including a 23-foot Brontosaurus, have taken over Medellin’s Parque Explora.

The “Age of Dinosaurs” exhibition brings to life a wide variety of the ancient animals, complete with authentic sounds and movements from the giant animatronic creatures that are spread throughout the center’s exhibition rooms and outdoor spaces.

The dinosours accompany the visitor on a journey through the beginnings of life on earth, which includes information on the creatures themselves, as well as the evolution of the earth throughout this time.

The stars of the exhibition were developed by paleontologists and professors at Argentina’s Felix de Azara Institute, and the University of Mainonides, Buenos Aires. Among the experts that brought the beasts to life was Sebastian Apesteguia, world-renowned for discovering a new species of dinosaur, named by him as a Buitreraptor.

The exhibition runs until the end of January in the Parque Explora, Carrera 52 No. 73-75, Medellin.
