Venezuelan-American singer songwriter Devendra Banhart on Tuesday announced to be playing Colombia’s capital Bogota in November.
While not yet officially announced on his website, the Texas-born artist did schedule the concert on his Facebook page.
Barnhart, born in Texas but raised in Venezuela, has released eight albums since his debut in 2002 and has since been categorized as psych folk, avant-folk, freak folk, Lo-Fi, hipster folk revival,and alternative folk.
The singer-songwriter’s quirky sound has kept him out of the mainstream spotlight, but has earned Barnhart a steady following among indie music fans.
The artist will be playing Bogota’s Ecci Theater on November 28 as part of a series of gigs throughout Latin America.
