Delta Airlines increases direct flights to Bogota

Delta Airlines announced last week that it will increase the number of direct flights between Bogota International Airport and New York’s JFK Airport.

Flights currently operate on Saturdays but starting on December 18 Delta will steadily increase its number of flights to Bogota.

It is expected that by February 17, 2011, there will be daily non-stop flights between the two cities.

“The appeal that this direct flight has had is exceptional, especially for passengers wishing to visit friends and relatives in New York. That is the reason why we will operate a flight every day, without seasonal breaks, offering convenience and flexibility during the entire year,” said Ricardo Garnica, Delta’s sales manager for Colombia.

“We are close to reaching our tenth anniversary and we appreciate the support of our customers and partners,” Garnica added.

The Delta flights between Bogota and New York are in addition to non-stop daily flights between Bogota and Atlanta.
