Colombia’s President Alvaro Uribe announced Thursday plans to restructure the intelligence agency DAS.
Uribe said that is necessary to rethink the structure of the DAS after the Prosecution called four former directors of the security agency for questioning about their alleged involvement in the wiretapping scandal and three of his closest aides are being investigated by the Inspector General for allegedly having ordered some of the wiretaps.
“It is urgent”, Uribe said, who added that the reform will be launched in the next days.
