Cucuta, Santa Fe top dogs in Colombia’s soccer league

Week six of Colombia’s Postobon soccer league came to a close on Sunday with the top two teams, Cucuta Deportivo and Santa Fe, achieving victory, while Atletico Nacional tied yet again.

Postobon’s number one team, Cucuta Deportivo, defeated Deportes Tolima after striker Steven Mendoza struck a goal in extra time to win 2-1. The victory leaves Cucuta with 14 points and a 4-2-0 (wins/draws/loses) record. They currently sport a +7 goal differential with nine goals scored, to only two scored against them.

Bogota’s Santa Fe team handed Deportivo Cali their second loss in a row after a strong second half performance by Santa Fe with goals by Captain
