Colombia’s first Courtyard by Marriott hotel on Friday announced plans to open on April 2014 in the capital city of Bogota.
The United States based hotel chain reached an agreement with the Colombian construction company, Inrama, this month, to open its third Marriott in Bogota and first Courtyard by Marriott in the country.
The hotel will feature 146 rooms and be located along Bogota’s Avenida El Dorado, which links the airport with the city center. It will be the closest hotel to the newly expanded El Dorado International Airport.
Bogota’s proposed Courtyard Marriott will feature a bar, pool, sauna, restaurant, meeting spaces for events, and a brand new modern guestroom design.
Courtyard by Marriott already operates in 37 countries, more than any other Marriott hotel brand. In addition to the existing JW Marriott and Marriott Hotel in Bogota two more Marriotts are planned to open in 2014 in Cartagena, Colombia’s premier Caribbean destination, and in Cali, the country’s third largest city.
