After day four of the Colombian Copa Mustang I, Boyacá Chicó are the only leaders ahead of La Equidad and Junior Barranquilla.
Anthony Tapia put Chicó ahead on 5 minutes but Carlos Hidaldo and Rafael Castillo turned things around for visiting side Independiente Medellín. But the hosts kept on fighting and equalised through Miguel Caneo in the 77th minute. Eight minutes later, Winston Girón netted the winner, 3-2.
In an equally crazy match, if not more, La Equidad beat Deportivo Cali 2-3 to move into second place. Stalin Motta opened the score in the 51st minute but Cali’s Sergio Herrera and Jamell Ramos then netted to make it 2-1. In the 86th minute, a great strike from Wilson Carpintero levelled things and the same player also scored the decider two minutes later.
No less than four players were sent off in this match, Pablo Batalla and Pablo Escobar for Cali and Roberto Polo and Victor Giraldo for La Equidad.
América de Cali suffered their first defeat of the season, away to Pasto. The home side needed just one goal to secure three points, as Orlando Ballestero beat the opposing keeper on 74 minutes.
Real Cartagena continue to do well, as the coastal team beat Deportivo Pereira 3-1. Pereira did take the lead through Mario Giménez in the 72nd minute but Cartagena knew exactly how to reply with José Nájera, Emerson Chamorro and Óscar Santos adding their names to the scoreboard for a 3-1 result.
Cúcuta Deportivo had few difficulties beating Deportes Tolima. Roberto Gamarra netted the opener on 22 minutes and Lionard Pajoy doubled the advantage with 15 minutes to play.
Atlético Nacional remain in last place, having suffered a fourth consecutive defeat. A goal from Sebastián Hernández was enough for visiting side Quindío to add to Nacional’s crisis.
Chicó lead with ten points from four games, followed by La Equidad with nine. Junior and Pasto share third place with eight points each.
