Contact person of ‘the Office of Envigado’ to Hezbollah to be extradited

Colombia’s Supreme Court Wednesday agreed to extradite Oscar Alonso
Acosta Serna, alias ‘Beto’, who allegedly is a member of the
paramilitary group ‘the Office of Envigado’ and has connections to Hezbollah, widely considered a terrorist group.

‘Beto’ allegedly trafficked drugs to Europe, the United States and the Middle East and was supposedly responsible for the flow of drug money that entered Colombia, local media reported Wednesday.

The United States also accuse other important members of ‘the Office of Envigado’ to have links to Hezbollah, like Francisco Antonio Florez Upegui alias ‘Don Pacho’, Jose Sebastian Sanchez alias ‘El Grande’ and Raul Contreras Chavez alias ‘Comisario’.

Colombian Police announced Wednesday they arrested twenty alleged members of ‘the Office of
Envigado’
. The police blame this paramilitary group for the rise of
violence in Medellin.
