Colombia’s Senate president rushed to hospital after ‘heart attack’

Colombia’s Senate president was hospitalized Wednesday after reportedly suffering a heart attack while having lunch in a Bogota restaurant.

According to media reports, Senator Juan Manuel Corzo became unwell while having lunch in the north of the city.

Colombian news agency Colprensa reported paramedics who attended the senate president at the scene said Corzo had suffered a heart attack.

The politician was rushed to the Military Hospital for treatment.

According to the Senate’s Secretary General, Emilio Otero, Corzo’s situation is stable and “he is ok.”
