Colombia’s largest cinema complex to open in Bogota

March will see the opening of Colombia’s largest cinema complex in the country’s capital, announced the president of Cine Colombia, Munir Falah, in an interview with La Republica.

Equipped with fourteen screens and 2,500 seats, the enormous complex of movie theaters will be located in the Centro Mayor, a new shopping mall currently being built in the southwest of Bogota.

Cine Colombia is the country’s largest cinema company, receiving over 27 million visitors to its theaters last year – a number that has been growing annually.

In the interview Falah also revealed that several openings of new cinema complexes are also planned in the cities of Manizales, Cali and Barranquilla in the near future.
