Colombia’s Carlos Vives joins US ‘Got Milk?’ campaign

Colombian singer Carlos Vives on Sunday announced he has joined the American “Got Milk?” campaign that promotes drinking milk.

The 51-year old Vives announced his participation in the campaign at a press conference in which the singer showed a poster of him wearing a “milk mustache” and a quote saying “music for the soul, protein for the body.”

In a press release, the costeño said he “always makes sure that he and his kids (his four children) eat a good breakfast that includes milk, naturally rich in nutrients.”

“I love having a glass of freezing cold milk with breakfast. It gives me the proteins and other nutrients that I need and the energy to help me face the morning and prepare me for my shows,” the singer continued.

Vives and his milk mustache will be appearing in Latino media in august, following a number of other Latin American artists who already have supported the milk campaign.
