Colombians donate $8.5M for flood victims in 10 days

Colombia Humanitaria, the organization in charge of receiving donations for the 2.3 million victims of floods caused by last year’s rainy season, received $8.5 million in donations over the past ten days.

According to RCN Radio, the donations came from private donors, Colombian companies, and foreign companies.

Colombia needs approximately $6 billion to repair the damage caused by floods and landslides that killed more than 300 people in 2010.
