Colombian top clash ends undecided

Deportes Tolima will be the happier side following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Independiente Medellin, as they successfully defended their top spot in the Liga Postobon.

The Ibague outfit started well with an opening goal from Jorge Perlaza in the 34th minute but Medellin’s Felipe Pardo levelled eight minutes later.

The result means that Tolima remain in first place, one point ahead of Medellin.

Real Cartagena suffered yet another set-back in their hunt for a top-four classification, being held to a goalless draw at last-placed Deportes Quindio.

In Saturday’s remaining game, Atletico Nacional beat Deportivo Pereira to move into sixth place. Ezequiel Maggiolo, Orlando Berrio and Segundo Ibarbo scored for the hosts while Jhony Acosta and Fabian Cuellar found the target for Pereira.
