Colombian police haul another US$11.2 million

Authorities say that the two stashes of money, both found in shipping containers in the Pacific port of Buenaventura, belong to Luis Enrique “Comba” Calle, leader of the drug gang Los Rastrojos.

According to the police, “Comba” assumed control of what used to be the Norte del Valle cartel after the extradition of “Don Diego” to the United States and the death of Wilber “Jabon” Varela in Venezuela last year.

Marks on the bills suggest the money belongs to the Rastrojos capo, Torres added.

Los Rastrojos are mostly active in the southwest of Colombia, especially near the Ecuadorean border and the southern half of the Pacific coast.
