Colombian navy seizes half ton of cocaine in Pacific

The Colombian navy seized 488 kilos of cocaine and 184 kilos of marijuana, headed for international markets, on a beach on the Pacific coast.

The massive stash was found buried under the sand just 100 meters from the town of Bahia Solano, in Colombia’s north-west Choco department.

The drugs had been tightly wrapped and sealed into 690 packages, according to the police report.

It’s street value is estimated to be $15 million.
