Colombian Government calls on FARC to surrender

Santos said in a press conference the FARC, only days before their 44th anniversary, are in their worst situation ever and that Colombian authorities finally “see light at the end of the tunnel.”According to the Minister of Defense a power struggle has broken out between ‘Mono Jojoy’ and ‘Alfonso Cano’, the successor of ‘Marulanda’.The FARC deny being weakened. In the statement by ‘Timochenko’, announcing the death of ‘Marulanda’, the rebel commander say the FARC “are stronger and more united than ever before”.
