Colombian comedian attempts 30 hour joke marathon

A Colombian comedian will attempt to tell jokes for 30 consecutive hours to raise money for kids, said local media Friday.

Comedian Jose Ordoñez is attempting the feat in an effort to raise money for the children’s charity organization Fundacion M.A.S.,

The joke marathon is taking place in Sydne,y Australia — one of the stops on Ordoñez’s world comedy tour.

Ordoñez said, “We hope in the middle of all the laughter people will be digging deep and donating to Fundacion M.A.S., from my native Colombia.”

In May the comedian will be be going to Spain where he hopes to break the world record for longest live comedy performance by telling jokes for 80 hours.

Ordoñez set a new world record in 2009 when he told jokes over the radio for 72 hours non-stop.
