Coffee production in Colombia is up 62% on last October, the highest level of production seen during the month since 2007, coffee growers reported on Wednesday.

Colombia’s National Federation of Coffee Growers reported that the monthly yield was 10.3 million bags.

Global prices remain weak, however, with a two sack unit priced at $193.

Colombia’s coffee industry is currently receiving $443 million in government aid to help the industry cope with the fall-out from a disease that ravaged Colombia’s coffee crop.
