Colombian athlete Caterine Ibarguen won triple jump bronze Thursday at the World Athletics Championships held in Daegu, South Korea.
The Medellin-born athlete jumped 14.84 meters, being beaten to victory only by Kazakhstan’s Olga Rypakova (14.89) and Ukrainian Olha Saladuha (14.94).
The bronze medal is Colombia’s second ever at a world championship. The first ever medal was won by runner Luis Fernando Lopez, who won bronze at the 20-kilometer run on Wednesday.
