Colombian actress to star in Chilean miners film

Adelaida Buscato, a Colombian-born model who has been living in Spain for the past nine years, will act in the film “The 33 of San Jose,” (“Los 33 de San Jose”) inspired by the recent rescue of Chilean miners.

Buscato will be the only Colombian featured in the film, which will be co-produced by Spanish “Antena 3 Films” and Colombian “Dynamo Producciones,” reports El Tiempo.

The 25-year-old Medellin-born model plays Alejandra Marin, a journalist covering the rescue. Shooting of the film began ten days ago in Copiapo, before the actual rescue of the miners.

Buscato is better known in Spain than in Colombia, and has acted in TV series such as “Karabudjan” and “Los Serrano.”
