Colombia to host next OAS summit

Colombia will host the sixth summit of the Organization of American
States, OAS, which will take place in 2010, the American foreign
ministers and delegates decided Wednesday.

The summit of the OAS is a meeting of all American Presidents and is held every four years.

Politicians from 34 countries agreed that Colombia has the capacity, experience and environmental conditions to be a “very good host”.

Cartagena and Medellin are the most likely cities to host the summit.
