Colombia top models pose for a noble cause

Six of Colombia’s supermodels posed in the Galapagos Islands for a 2013 calendar to raise money for a Medellin charity.

Colombia’s top models travelled to the Galapagos Islands last week to create an impressive 2013 calender for the Colombian charity Fundacion Colombia Joven, according to newspaper El Heraldo.

“[It was] a wonderful trip, it was quite a journey to get to Galapagos. It was worth it, both for the purpose of the work and the beauty of the place: it was an amazing place and new to us. It was indescribable to be by the beach and see so many animals around us – a great experience,” said the supermodel Natalia Paris.

The mayor of the Galapagos Islands, a major tourist destination belonging to Ecuador, was also keen that the models pose in as many places as possible around the islands in order to promote their majestic natural scenery.

The charity will use the money raised from sales of the calendar for the construction and preparation of a soup kitchen in the neighborhood La Cruz, in the north of Medellin. The calenders will be available in two major chain stores around the country.
