Colombia striker Miguel Borja signed by Brazil’s Palmeiras

Atletico Nacional forward Miguel Borja has officially been signed by Palmeiras,the Colombian team confirmed Friday.

The Braziian top team had already made theannounced on Thursday.

The Colombian team confirmed the move via their twitter account on Friday.

Palmeiras agreed to sign Borja to a five year deal worth $10.5 million. The Brazil team currently sits comfortably atop the league table, nine points clear of second place Santos.

Although Borja only spent 6 months with the Medellin-based team, he will be remembered as a prolific scorer who struck when it counted most.

His goal during the Copa Libertadores final ensured that Atletico Nacional were crowned Latin America’s champions for the second time in club history.
