Colombia sees 2009 FDI at US$9 billion, down from ’08

Colombia’s foreign direct
investment will reach $9 billion in full-year 2009, down from
2008, Finance Minister Oscar Zuluaga said on Tuesday.

Foreign direct investment was about $10.5 billion last
year. Since then Colombia’s economy has been hit by fallout
from the world financial crisis.

The government expects economic grown this year of about
0.5 percent compared with 2.5 percent in 2008. (Reuters)
