The Colombian government presented plans on Monday to invest approximately $11.8 billion (COP 21.1 trillion) in road infrastructure over the next 15 years, news website CM& reported.
According to the report, the majority of the money will be invested in the Ruta del Sol, Bogota-Villavincencio and Transversal de Las Americas highways between 2012 and 2027.
Bogota’s bus and metro lines, called the Sistemas Integrados y Sistemas Estratégicos de Transporte, will also receive $1.6 billion (COP 3 trillion).
