Colombia confirms 7th AH1N1 fatality

Colombia health authorities confirmed the seventh AH1N1 fatality Monday. It is the third reported death within 48 hours.

According to the country’s Welfare Ministry, the victim is a woman from Viterbo, Caldas who was admitted to hospital on July 5, treated for the swine flu, because of suspicious symptoms, but died on July 7.

166 patients, including the seven fatalities, so far were confirmed to have contracted the virus. The virus killed at least 430 worldwide.
