Cirque Le Masque brings magic of Rio’s Carnival to Medellin (video)

Cirque Le Masque acrobatic carnival will perform in Medellin from Saturday, October 8 to Monday, October 17.

In its own words, the carnival is “a passport to the world’s biggest party.. Rio de Janiero.”

The show is the tale of a young tourist who travels to Rio to fulfill her dream of starring as a showgirl. She encounters a magical world of aerialists, acrobats, comics and character performers.

“More than a mere circus, this a 90 minute fantasy that focus [sic] on incredible acts, dazzling costumes and aerial acts performing without a safety net,” said the Alma Performing Arts. “They are defying the law of gravity at all times.”

Cirque Le Masque has won the Best Modern Show Award, the Silver Medal Award and the Best Stage Direction Award and the Choice for Children’s Entertainment at the International Circus Festival in Bucharest.

Catch the carnival at the Polideportiva del Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana at 7PM. Tickets cost anywhere from $9.80 to $31, depending on the seats.
